About Me
My love of art started in the first grade. Some people in your life make a lasting impression and my teacher did, as well as other fine teacher’s I had through out my schooling. With the praise of this one fine teacher I knew from that moment on I was to do art in some way. I used to draw all the time as a child all sorts of things. In grammar school my favorite thing to draw was cartoon character’s. As I got older I moved onto to the memorable character’s from the Walt Disney Animated classics.
This love of drawing carried on through higher education which in turn led me to college. It is at New York Institute of Technology where I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Computer Graphics with honors (Cum Laude 3.44 GPA).
Professional Work
For over 15 years I have worked in the design industry specializing in Halloween. Within this time I have played many roles: Assistant Art Director, Administrative Assistant, Production Artist and Senior Graphic/Packaging Designer. Currently I work for RUBIES II, LLC. They manufacture anything Halloween from Costumes & Wigs to Home Decor & Makeup and everything in between. Graphically I do a variety of things packaging such as Insert Cards, Blister Cards, Headers Cards to Promotional Marketing including Catalogs, Banners, Sales Sheets. I am open to exploring new exciting opportunities. A place where I can utilize my skills & my years of experience. A company with a history of success and plenty of growth potential for it’s employees. It’s always good to change up a bit every now & then…the time is now!!
Personal Work
I may work production as my day job , but what I really enjoy is designing on a personal level. By which I am referring to Invitations & Party Decor. I have custom designed numerous Invitations throughout the years and have loved it. Sure to some it may only be an invitation, but not to me. To create & in some way be a part of a special moment in a person’s life makes me feel good. The best part is after my job is done hearing the compliment’s about the invitation from various people. With every invitation I hope to make one person smile with my design. If I do that then my job was a success and that makes a happy designer.
